Rebekah Too Jing Yuan is a versatile musician, sculpting rich soundscapes on the piano, where technical finesse and intuition converge in a relentless pursuit of creative discovery. Currently pursuing a Diploma in Music (Piano Studies) at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), she is a recipient of the Tan Ean Kiam Arts Scholarship. Rebekah’s musical journey began at age three with electone classes, progressing to private piano instruction at Presto Studios and Con Ritmico Studio. Under the mentorship of Cecilia Ratna, she earned Distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory (2018) and her LTCL in Piano Performance (2021).

Rebekah’s passion for music was nurtured through six years in the Music Elective Programme, excelling academically in GCE ‘O’ Level Higher Music and GCE ‘A’ Level H2 and H3 Music. She also gained recognition in competitions, placing third in the Online Popular Piano Competition 2020 and second in the Elite Category of the La Pianista Competition 2021.

Her musical interests extend beyond solo performance. She has performed Bernstein’s Prelude, Fugue and Riffs with the Re:cinta Wind Symphony and collaborated on piano four-hand and eight-hand works, including Milhaud’s Scaramouche Suite and Lavignac’s Galop Marche at NAFA’s Piano Plus Concert. As an active accompanist, she works with vocalists and instrumentalists, expanding her collaborative music-making experience.

Rebekah’s choral journey began as Vice Chairperson of her primary school choir and continued through church choir, the MEP Choir, and the NAFA Choir under Lim Yau. She was also a member of Vox Camerata’s Chamber Choir, performing at Resorts World Sentosa, and will sing in the Singapore premiere of Johan de Meij’s Symphony No. 5 in March 2025.

In leadership, Rebekah served as Assistant Drum Major of the Nan Chiau High School Wind Orchestra and as Overall IC for the Euphony V Music Elective Programme Concert at Eunoia Junior College.

At 19, Rebekah was a passionate educator with experience tutoring ‘O’ Level Music students, mentoring youths-at-risk through YouthHarmony, and serving as a relief teacher at Raffles Girls’ Secondary School. Through performance and education, she hopes to ignite a lifelong appreciation for music in every individual she teaches.
